Happy day, happy girl

I love how much my girls look forward to their birthdays. So cute and innocent of them. Eleanor was definitely so excited to have the big 8 party. I can't believe we're at this point already. Wow. She's growing up to be such a fun, smart and darling girl.

Eleanor and Katie enjoying her new sleeping bag and doll together.

Eleanor wanted to do a Hello Kitty theme for her party this year. I have to recommend that - so many easy ideas to craft! Here is the fun cake - which had a perfectly smooth top until we discovered that the cake dome took a chunk right out of the middle - just a wee bit too tall.

We made these shirts with freezer paper stencils ahead of time and then let the girls decorate their bow with puffy paint.

The Shrinkie-Dink necklaces were really fun and easy too.
Hey - it's not every day you get your birthday candles lit with a blow torch. She must be getting old if she has enough candles to warrant this treatment. :)

Love you Eleanor! So excited that you're 8 and all that means for you coming up...

Those are some seriously cute girls all around. Great party! Isabel had a Hello Kitty party a couple of years ago, and I agree - lots of great craft ideas. 8 really is great.
