Happy Birthday Baby

We got to celebrate our little Katie's birthday today. Can't believe she's 2 already - but, on the other hand, I can hardly remember what it was like without her in our life. We went in her bedroom this morning and she was jumping up and down saying, "It's my birthday!"

How could you not give this cutie M&M's before breakfast? Thank you, sweet home teacher, for those.

She was a little excited about the ladybug pillow pet.
Just a little excited.
I saw this adorable cake idea on One Charming Party, so we had a little circus theme to the day. Hot dogs and popcorn for dinner. What more could a two-year-old want?
Actually, all she wanted was the sucker. She didn't even touch her cake. But, she was happy.

Life is always exciting with a two-year-old. Katie is very sweet and smart! She knows all her colors, has a huge vocabulary, can recognize a long list of songs from two or three notes, is starting to love reading books, and counts 17..18..19..eleventeen. Yesterday, she was very put out to discover that the strawberries in the picture were not actually in the cereal box. Love the discoveries you make all over again with your children.

Happy Birthday, Katie! Love the pillow pet! Pretty sure Maddie would go crazy for one of those. Give her a big belated b-day kiss and hug from me (and one for her sister, too!

She looks like she got what she wanted, I love the present-opening photo. I'm happy to see the Swimsuit book in the photo, is that one that you were missing?
