Happy St. Patty's Day

My little leprechauns looked so cute today, I just had to take their picture. Look at these dolls! I don't think anyone can be quite as lucky as I am. But, I hope your day was a good one too!
The wall in the background is one of my recent projects too. If you'd like to see it better, you'll have to come stay in our guest room. Any takers?

Happy Birthday Baby

We got to celebrate our little Katie's birthday today. Can't believe she's 2 already - but, on the other hand, I can hardly remember what it was like without her in our life. We went in her bedroom this morning and she was jumping up and down saying, "It's my birthday!"

How could you not give this cutie M&M's before breakfast? Thank you, sweet home teacher, for those.

She was a little excited about the ladybug pillow pet.
Just a little excited.
I saw this adorable cake idea on One Charming Party, so we had a little circus theme to the day. Hot dogs and popcorn for dinner. What more could a two-year-old want?
Actually, all she wanted was the sucker. She didn't even touch her cake. But, she was happy.

Life is always exciting with a two-year-old. Katie is very sweet and smart! She knows all her colors, has a huge vocabulary, can recognize a long list of songs from two or three notes, is starting to love reading books, and counts 17..18..19..eleventeen. Yesterday, she was very put out to discover that the strawberries in the picture were not actually in the cereal box. Love the discoveries you make all over again with your children.

Coming to a Backyard Near You

I was so excited to see this cute pussywillow on the tree outside my window. Just one little sign that Spring is coming!

A Little Something I Made

One of my resolutions for this year is to take a picture of everything I make. Over the years I've made so many different things, especially gifts, that pass through my hands so quickly I've forgotten all about them. I'd like to have more of a catalog of ideas I tried and liked. So, I won't be posting them all, but here's a little sample.

I've been eyeing this Cosmo Cricket Early Bird fabric for a long time, so finally I decided to get a yard and see what I could do with it. It became hotpads, a quilted table runner, and a kitchen towel holder. It's such happy fabric. Who knew you didn't have to put up with ugly hot pads forever!

The table runner is reversible for a totally different look.
