Celestial Events

Gavin and I have a history of watching celestial events together. It all started when we were dating. He said there was going to be an amazing meteor shower. He said we could see it better up the canyon. He said it would probably stop snowing soon... Well, meteor shower or not, as I recall, we both saw stars. :)

So, naturally, I'm a bit suspicious when he says there is going to be a meteor shower or some other celestial event. But, last night we watched the lunar eclipse (the last for two more years). Here are some pictures of that celestial event. It was a bit hazy, but at least not snowing this time!

Very cool. We saw it too, but didn't know it. I just happened to look up through our window while it was happening and commented on how beautiful the "slivered" moon looked :) HAHA- it was the eclipse we were looking at :)

Did you see at the beginning of February when Jupiter and Venus were visible in the southwest in the mornings? Each day they moved closer to each other until the appeared to be touching. It was an awesome sight!
