Glass Slippers Are So 18th Century!

The latest in princess-wear is this incredible light-up color changing dress I found for my little princess. Talk about versatile... This dress goes from day to evening wear ever so gracefully!

I knew I had to get this, but I saved it for awhile looking for the right reason to give it to her. We've been working on coming right away when called and she's been doing so well, I thought she finally earned (don't like the word "deserved") a prize. She loves it, so of course we had to do a princess photo shoot right away.

No, My Squeeker!

Now here is a girl who loves my squeeker as much as I do.

Who could possibly say no to a face as adorable as this! Just because she put me in such a good mood today, I'll share a fun photo tip with you. Ok, I found it in a magazine, but I totally used it today. Do you know that with just a little trimming with the scissors, a Pez dispenser will slide right into the hotshoe on top of your camera (where an extra flash can go). It's a great way to get little kiddos to look at the camera.

Do Pancakes go with Creme Brulee?

I've been ever-so-subtly hinting to Gavin that he should try out our new dishes by making some creme brulee. Of course, with his attentions turned to dessert that leaves me with responsibility for dinner. And that begs the question... What do you make to go with Creme Brulee? This problem is compounded by the fact that we haven't planned a menu for the week. I cannot cook without a menu. Inspiration simply does not come to me on an empty stomach. I can use this to prove that despite what many of you think, I am really not a creative person. Because when dinner time comes without a plan the only thing I can think of is pancakes. And I'm pretty sure pancakes do not go with Creme Brulee, which seems like the kind of dessert that should always be capitalized.

So, after putting the fabulous dessert in to cook for an hour, Gavin rescues me by taking care of dinner as well. He is of course a creative person. Look at this beautiful dinner. Jamaican Jerk Chicken on a bed of couscous with glazed butternut squash. I'm pretty sure that will go with Creme Brulee - which turned out fabulous. Although more practice couldn't hurt.

Check out the Updated BPhotogenic

With his incredible talent for figuring out new software very quickly, Gavin built my updated website in 1 day! Check out the new www.BPhotogenic.com. Most notable is the "Book a Session" feature where you can submit a request online for your preferred date! If you've been considering a session, please try this out.

Also, notable is some new pricing. I hate to do that, but now that I've figured out how much time it takes me to process a photo session it looks like I charge about $5 an hour. Not really what being a professional is all about... So, lucky for you all I've changed my prices to charge about $6 an hour. :)

Enjoy the cool flash element, faster loading, and sharper pictures in IE and Firefox. Isn't it great to be married to a geek! I can say that since I am a bit of a geek myself.
